Hi Staci, great start! In case you didn't see this, you can add various widgets to your blog, and Blogger has recently made it much easier to do this. On the upper right of your blog you should have a link to Design. Go there and click around to see what's available. It doesn't hurt to try things out, you can always come back and undo them if you don't like it.
